Jackie and I met a long time ago when my family made the move from Oregon to Arizona. I don't recall the specifics of our first encounter, but it was obvious she was a hot shot and a force to be reckoned. She had a contagious laugh and a smile to melt your heart. In a subtle way, she lead the pack and rolled through life with ease.
Rumors circled that she liked me and I liked her. It remains a mystery why she picked me over the line of guys at her door. Jackie is a heart breaker and always will be. Lucky for me, she chose to take--instead of break--mine. As the years flew our love grew, and the rest is water under the bridge.
